Take the time to measure your correct size and refer to the sizing chart on the jacket page. Returns are your responsibility if the wrong size is ordered, and we want you to get the right jacket for your adventure!
Our Warranty guarantees everything we build against defects in materials and craftsmanship for the practical lifetime of the product. We offer repair or replacement for issues with materials or craftsmanship. Damage due to normal wear and tear or misuse can be repaired for a reasonable charge.
Our bags are assembled in Vietnam. We want to manufacture in the USA, but being two former enlisted guys using our own money, we don't have deep enough pockets to build a production facility here in the USA...yet. We searched all over the world for a production facility. Finally, our founder's fathers urged us to consider Vietnam. Both men are vets and spoke highly of the Vietnamese people and culture. We went to Vietnam, met with many different facilities, and finally settled on a small production team we felt comfortable with. The quality is second to none, and the people have proved honest and hardworking. We have formed genuine friendships with our partners there. Although we disagree with the Vietnamese government, we understand why our fathers speak so highly of the Vietnamese people.
Is it a perfect situation? No, but we are trying. We employ as many veterans as possible at our research and design hub in Maryland and partner with a Veteran-owned distribution center in California. One day we hope to open a production facility here in the US.
Our "No China" Policy:At Nomadic Research®, we have a strict NO Chinese policy. (In the outdoor gear industry, a little-known fact is that most backpacks and bags made in the USA use Chinese materials and hardware). We are committed to using fabric and hardware produced in the USA or in a country that has a strategic alliance with the USA. For example, the XPAC fabric used in the Raid Pack HD is made in the USA. Our buckles are produced in Korea, as well is some of our other fabrics, and we source zippers from Japan.
Our "No China" Policy

We are committed to using fabric and hardware produced in the USA or in a country that has a strategic alliance with the USA. For example, the XPAC fabrics are made in the USA. Our other fabrics are sourced from Korea as well as our buckles and hardware, and we source our YKK zippers from Japan.

15 Days
We have a 15-day return policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, like new, with tags, and in its original packaging to be eligible for return. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Yes we ship to APO!
The rate applies to the APO facility's zip code in the United States. Be sure to enter the country as United States, the city as APO or FPO, the state as Armed Forces Europe (AE), Armed Forces Pacific (AP), or Armed Forces America (AA), and the APO zip code. The tracking information will only tell you when the order gets to the facility, then it's in the military's hands to get it there, so please be as specific as possible with the unit when filling in the address information.
Generally, it takes 1-2 business days to fulfill your order and prepare for shipping.
For example, an order placed Monday will generally be filled on Tuesday. Then the selected shipping company will pick it up on Wednesday. Once your order has been picked up, the delivery process will begin with your selected options.
You will receive an order shipping email to track your shipment using your chosen shipping company's website. Check your spam/junk folder if you haven't received this email. If you need more help, we are here for you via email Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm PST.
Pack Cleaning Instructions:
NOTE: Do not machine wash your pack.
- Remove the yoke. Break the Velcro bond, unbuckle the yoke straps, and remove the yoke from the body of the bag.
- Open all zippered and drawstring pockets. Empty the pack of debris by turning upside-down and shaking.
- Wash pack in a bathtub or large sink using warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft scrub (if needed).
- Use Hydrogen Peroxide to remove blood stains if needed.
- Rinse the pack thoroughly.Hang the clean pack to dry in the shade – do not dry your pack in direct sunlight.
Obtain a material-appropriate zipper lubricant.
NOTE: Before purchasing, read the description closely to ensure it is suitable for the zipper material on your pack. i.e. metal, nylon, plastic.
On unzipped zippers, use compressed air to blow out each side.
Follow the application instructions provided by lubricant manufacturer.
- To enhance and maintain effective water repellency on your pack, we recommend using RUST-OLEUM® NeverWet® Fabric Water Repelling Spray – CLEAR.
- Follow manufacturer's instructions.
